For as long as I can remember, my parents (Maurice and Julie) haven’t ever been long without a paint brush, a spirit level, a knitting needle, or a hammer in their hands. They’re the most resourceful, talented, and driven people I know, and it was immeasurably beneficial being raised in such a hive of creativity (“James, turn off the TV and go build a city out of Lego!!”). Pokolbin Pride

I recently had the pleasure of being the artist in residence at the inaugural Pokolbin Pride, which is the first LGBTI festival to be held in the Hunter Valley region. Over five days in late October, almost 600 people indulged upon the delicious fine wines and flavours of the Hunter, as well as coming together at various parties and exhibitions to celebrate what makes our community unique.
